Fifth Grade Parents, there will be a Parent Information Night at Eastside Middle School on Tuesday, May 6 at 6:00 p.m. for you to learn more about Eastside.  Parents, we have truly enjoyed having your children at PGE!  We are going to miss our 5th graders.  We wish them the best as they continue their education at the middle school.
Future PGE Dolphin Registration
We are now accepting new registrations for the 2014-2015 school year.  If you have a child or know someone who has a child entering Kindergarten through 5th grade, you can stop by any day between 8:00-4:30 and complete registration for next school year.   Please remember to bring your proof of residence, and all Kindergarten registrations will also need official birth certificates and immunization records.  Early registration is important  and beneficial for class placements and helps to avoid class changes in the fall.

How much have our Superheroes Grown this year?

Spring MAP Testing will begin this week.  One of the goals our staff set at the beginning of the year was to ensure individual growth for everystudent in reading and math. Spring MAP scores will be particularly exciting to see because it will be one way to measure whether or not we met that goal.  In addition, we’ll be able to see how much each student has grown since the beginning of the year.  Results will also indicate to us which instructional strategies/adjustments were effective and successful since the last testing session in December.  We are eager to celebrate the results of the daily hard work from our students and staff!  Your child will be working with his/her teacher to set personal goals for this round of testing.  Please remember to ask your child what their goal is and what they’ve been doing to reach that goal.   During last week’s SPLASH Celebration, we reminded students this isn’t a time to “stress out”, but instead a time to “show off” all they’ve learned.
