Minutes

1. Convene: Meeting convened at 3:21p.m. with Julia Barker, Kimberly Newton, Jennifer Harrison, Beverly Shaner, and Julie Buckner present.
2. Opening Business: Jennifer Harrison made a motion and Beverly Shaner seconded the motion to approve the agenda. Agenda was set at the Council meeting on January 17 when the Council had to adjourn for Julie Buckner to attend the Board meeting and the Council had unfinished business.
3. Review
1. Policy Manual Second Reading: The Council had received a copy of the policy manual after review from the Board Attorney. The Council had a second reading and adoption of the manual. There was a consensus among the Council.
2. Election Procedures: The Council reviewed the policy on election procedures.
3. Recognition of Speakers: The Council reviewed the policy on recognition of speakers.
4. Comprehensive School Improvement Plan: The Council reviewed the current Improvement Plan and had a discussion on attendance, one area of the climate component of the current plan. At the February meeting, the Council will have Implementation and Impact Checks from all component managers.
4. Adjourn: Beverly Shaner motioned and Jennifer Harrison seconded that Council adjourn at 5:19p.m. There was consensus.
