11/20/09 - Academic Team News: The Kentucky Colonel’s Sixth Grade Academic Showcase will be Saturday, December 5th, 2009 at Flaherty Elementary School in Meade County, Kentucky.  Registration will be from 8:00 to 8:30 am.  What is it?A one-day academic event designed to provide a competitive opportunity for Kentucky’s sixth graders, who are sometimes “lost” between elementary (4-5) and middle grades (6-8) Governor’s Cup competition. When membership is finalized, teams are grouped into “sections” of up to 8 teams each.  Students participating in this event include: Math - Sarah Link, Shaina Ojala, Alden Stidom Science - Brooke Armenta, Maria Long, Shaina Ojala Social Studies - Trenton Cox, Austin Dattilo, Charlotte Mason Language Arts - Trenton Cox, Morgan Grant, Emily Potts Arts and Humanities: Grasson Gasser, Sarah Link, Emily Potts Quick Recall – Laura Brown, Trenton Cox, Austin Dattilo, Sarah Link, Shaina Ojala, Emily Potts, Alden Stidom Alternates – Sarah Burden, Layne Cutler, Rachell Garrett Check the school website in the future for more details.

11/17/09 - Eastside Middle School Sixth Grade Showcase quick recall team members will have a scrimmage against Mt. Washington Middle School’s Showcase team this Thursday, November 19th from approximately 4: 30 – 5:50 pm.  Parents are welcome to attend of course.  Bring $3.00 for pizza if you wish.

11/10/09 - Congratulations to the Lady Eagles for defeating Hebron last night and advancing to the semi-finals of the County Championship.  They play MWMS tonight at 6:00 p.m.  The tournament is being held at Zoneton Middle School.  The finals will be played on Thursday, November 12th.

10/12/09 - A huge Eagle shout out to the students, the teachers and the parents of Eastside!  Through your hard work and commitment, Eastside has maintained the status as the top performing middle school in Bullitt County! As awesome as that is, Eastside also met 100% of our No Child Left Behind federal government goals and ....wait for it....wait for it....ranked 25th in the state out of 326, which places Eastside in the top 10% of our state!
