The Accelerated Reader (AR) Program
provides teachers and students a fun and exciting way to
promote reading at home and in the classroom. A wide variety
of books in the school library are marked with a colored dot
to indicate that they are AR books. Students may read AR
books and take the associated five question test to earn
points. As students accumulate points, their names are
posted on the AR bulletin board in the school library.
Because of the variety and number of books offered, the
AR list of books is quite long. The list is available from
classroom computers and is also provided here for your
reference.
The AR list is provided in three formats - alphabetical by
title, alphabetical by author, and ordered by reading level. The list is
provided as a PDF file, which can be read using Adobe
Acrobat Reader software. Adobe Acrobat Reader can be
downloaded free of charge from the following link:

You are welcome to print the list, but please keep in
mind that the list is 144 pages long and will take quite a
while to print. You may wish to save it to disk and/or print
selected portions instead.
To save the PDF file, choose the desired format for the
AR list from the list below. Once the file is displayed,
click File on the tool bar at the top of your screen.
Click Save As from the drop-down list. Enter the
information about where you wish to save the file and click
Save. You will then be able to print any or all of
the file you wish.
