Elementary School (MWES), located in
Mt. Washington, Kentucky in Eastern Bullitt
County has a rich history of excellence in Bullitt
County. Family partnerships are very important to
the success of our school, and many of our students
are proud to say that their parents we once "MWES
Braves."
MWES serves over 600
students in preschool through fifth grade. Built in
1974, MWES has semi-open classrooms, a gymnasium,
stage, art room, computer lab, and an automated
media center that boasts over 15,000 books.
Our school's mission
is to empower students to become life long learners
by providing a nurturing learning environment. Our
faculty and staff demonstrate excellence in teaching
and a commitment to meeting the needs of each
student.
Curriculum and
instruction at MWES are based in Kentucky's
Program of Studies and
Core Content for Assessment. This focus
reflects a commitment to equity for all students.
MWES teachers differentiate instruction to meet

individualized programming, and continuous
