PGE PTA will host our annual Fall Fall Festival on Friday, October 23. Students(and adults) may wear their halloween costumes for an evening of fun for the whole family. More details were sent home in Tuesday folders. They are pre-selling game tickets to help you avoid standing in line that evening. There will be tasty bar-b-que dinners and fun games throughout PGE hallways. WE hope to see you there!
Halloween Parties will be Friday, October 31. If you are helping your teacher with the classroom party, please make sure to bring a picture ID. Parties will end at 3:20. We ask that all visitors exit the classrooms at that time so teachers can prepare students for dismisal. We had such a great response with our storybook character theme for Halloween last year, we have decided to continue with that tradition for Halloween this year. To encourage the love of reading, we will celebrate October 31st as a “TRICK – OR- READ” day. Students will be allowed to “dress up” if they complete a writing task that will be sent home in Tuesday Folders this week. For all students who come dressed as their favorite storybook character, we will have a drawing for a $15 gift certificate for (1) primary student and (1) intermediate student. We ask that all other Halloween costumes be saved for your family’s evening Halloween tradition. We appreciate your support as we have a little fun, but still keep our focus on student learning.
We sent home Red Ribbon Week Activities in last week’s Tuesday Folders. Since Tuesday is picture make-up day, we have decided to switch Tuesday and Thursday’s activities. Tuesday will be “Get Hooked on Books, not Drugs” Day and Thursday will be Pajama Day.
3rd-5th Grade Report Cards/Infinite Campus
We are continuing to work with District Personnel to help resolve the technical issues we’re experiencing with Infinite Campus. The issue is a result of us having to switch homerooms. The students who were moved are still showing up on 2 rosters, which is giving them 2 grades for each subject. We hope to have this resolved by Tuesday, but if not, you may see 2 grades. The grade from their current teacher is the accurate grade. If you have any questions about the grades, contact your teacher.
